
Southern Soul Greens & Smoked Turkey Soup
A hearty, comforting soup packed with smoky and savory flavors!
Ingredients:
- 1 batch of Southern Soul Greens Seasoning Mix
- 2 cups chopped collard greens (fresh or frozen)
- 1 smoked turkey leg or 2 smoked turkey wings
- 1 diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 can (15 oz) white beans, drained
- 1 diced tomato (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large pot, heat chicken broth over medium heat. Add smoked turkey, onion, and garlic.
- Stir in Southern Soul Greens Seasoning Mix and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add collard greens and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour until tender.
- Stir in white beans and diced tomato (if using) and let simmer for 10 more minutes.
- Remove turkey, shred the meat, and return it to the soup.
- Serve hot with cornbread or crusty bread.
